La Grange de L’Oncle Charles Alsace Blanc 2016
Feiring Line Wine Society: January 2019 Selection
From Alice: Jerome François started this new domaine from some small family plots in 2014. Now he’s up to six hectares under vine and in 2017 was joined by Yann Bury. These two are creating a domaine to watch. They work with horse and sheep and take their biodynamics seriously. This old-fashioned white blend is aged on the lees for 12 months in barrique. An electric wine full of fruit offset by a fruit skin-like bitterness. It’s gorgeous and textural with an acid lift.
